比起对某事实给予断言，不如加上 I can('t) tell you that 的包装，委婉地传达自己的意向。不过 I can('t) tell you what (how) 等则表示“我（不）可以告诉你某事”。经常会用到 I can('t) tell you that （可以那么说）的句型。
